RC3000 reviewed Sonic Unleashed for the PlayStation 2...

...and gave it a 8.0.

Story:
The game starts it a cool looking cutscene where Eggman is up to no good and guess who's going to stop it? Yes you guess it the blue hedgehog, Sonic. Sonic uses the power of the chaos emerald go super, although he falls into Eggman trap and it the power of the chaos emerald he uses to try and wake Dark Gaia that makes the planet go apart. Has side effect Sonic turn into Werehog (yeah that makes no sense), Sonic then fall from the sky and then he meets a fairy that is name later Chip. Chip lost is memory and Sonic feels guilty because he fall him and so they try find somehow who knows Chip. Also due to the Eggman plan the chaos emerald lost there power and they must restore there power and bring the world together using the Gaia Temples, so they travel over the world so they can visit this temples. On your way you will know who Chip really is but to find out you must play the game.
The story overall isn't bad but it could have been better.

Gameplay:
In this game you can play has the speedy Sonic the Hedgehog or the strong Sonic the Werehog which represent has day stages and night stages.
The day stages i where you mostly have allot found cause Sonic actually runs fast unlike in Sonic 06 it also has some 2d animation but they aren't that many in this version at least but overall the stages are good to play the only problem is there is lack day level on the PS2/Wii version your rank depends on the time.
On the night level you beat some Dark Gaia creature and do some platforming, puzzle and yes it's totally rip off of God Of War but it isn't that bad although it kinda get repetitive, your rank in this level you need certain amount of Rings, Gaia Force (that is also use to level up the Werehog) and the time.
We after you complete certain levels you can go and face a boss and it can be either day or night, the boss in this game are not bad but the night need fixing.
Beside the levels we have hub where you only talk to people so can go to level it's quite pointless in my opinion but at least is better then in 06, we can some extra if you talk to some of the people those extra can also be find on the level hidden somewhere.

Sound:
The soundtrack in this game is really well made. Voice in this game was really well done well maybe Chip voice need more work but others VA did a nice improvement from the previous Sonic games.

Graphics:
Graphics in cutscene are the graphics from 360/PS3 and they pretty good. The graphics in game are good but the PS2 version lack on character design but we need speed in this games not graphics

Graphics Rank: 8/10

Overall this is good game but after playing to many times it gets boring because of the werehog level but it still worth game to buy for the speed level so I give Sonic Unleashed an 8/10
